			Testimonial

			From C.B.
			   Acupuncture for breast cancer
			It was
July 4th and my daughter noticed a strange dimpling in my
right breast. It couldn’t be cancer. That was not in my
consciousness. I had a good diet, ate almonds almost daily and had a
good attitude.  Cancer was not going to come to me. (Even though I
had lost my mother and two aunts to the disease) But a dream showing
three cars (my body) that needed repair took me to the doctor, a
mammogram, sonogram and biopsy. The results were clear – Intraductal
carcinoma or Stage 2 Breast Cancer.
			For years
I have been involved in the Edgar Cayce material and I knew that
this body could heal. It was very important that I first decide why
I wanted to live. Then I developed an Ideal which is to “Heal with
joy, commitment, love, expectation, and faith” and “To gain a better
understanding of the connection of the physical and the Divine.” I
also prayed that the healing modalities would come in the proper
sequence and the proper timeframe to heal with the least invasive
manner possible. I knew this was an opportunity for growth and there
was a higher purpose in this journey.
			Almost
			immediately the synchronicities began.

				- On my way back from the doctor’s initial
visit, I went to the Edgar Cayce A.R.E. Center in Houston. It
was open. One of the directors himself was cured of cancer so
talking to him was very uplifting. We checked the Readings and
immediately I started with the animated ash and the ultra-violet
light and massaging the tumor with animated ash and Iodex. I
also started the Essiac tea. Later I added the Rife machine.

				- When I began to communicate the diagnosis
at work, a friend gave me a book to read which highly emphasized
nutrition. From there, I contacted a friend of mine who gave me
the name of a highly respected and busy nutritionist. I called
and got an appointment 5 months out. I thought – by then I’ll
either we well or NOT. The next day I went to lunch with a
business colleague who knew the nutritionist. Short story – she
wrote him a letter, he called and within a week I was in his
office starting on a strict alkaline diet and supplements.

				- Then my best friend had a dream for me. In
this dream people brought syringes to conduct building repairs
but it became clear that the syringes were not needed. Someone
said, “You don’t need the syringes. Needles work just fine and
they don’t even hurt.” – After hearing the dream, I walked into
a friend’s office, asked, “Where can I find an acupuncturist?”
She handed me the Houston Acupuncture & Herb, L.P. card saying
				her friend highly recommended them.

			So for
the last three months, Jannie Chiang and I have been working
together. I have been totally impressed with her professionalism.
She believes our bodies have innate healing abilities and can
encourage them to focus in specific areas. Jannie is very honest and
forthright. Her desire for the patient’s complete healing is clear.
While she understands all healing modalities and knows there is a
place for each, she respects the patient’s belief system knowing
attitude and beliefs play a large role in healing.  She has walked
this journey with me watching the tumor soften and decrease in
			size.
			I
continue healing every day. I am grateful to all who play a role in
my recovery. It won’t be long before I’ll be able to update this
message to say this body has been cured completely.

			Acupuncture
			cancer supportive treatment

			Cancer is
from the abnormal genetic make-up cells.  These abnormal cells can
multiply viciously and spread through the lymphatic or blood
circulation to anywhere of the body.
			So far it
is still not clearly known what are the causes for cancer, but there
are several factors suspected to be the triggers: genetic, immune
disorders, poor diet, stress, environment, or hormone replacement
			therapy.

			Cancer therapy
			in western medicine
			In
western medicine the traditional cancer therapies are surgery,
radiation, and chemotherapy.  Surgery removes the tumors. Chemo and
radiation therapy are tried to inhibit the mutation of cancer cells
			and prevent metastases.
			The
problem is all the traditional cancer therapies are difficult for
body to recover.  Chemotherapy can cause nausea in different
degrees. It not only kills cancer cells, but also kills normal
cells.  the production of white blood cells, red blood cells, and
platelet cells are inhibited by the chemo, thus the risks of
infection is increased and the side effects of

			Cancer therapy
			in Chinese medicine
			The
cancer therapy in Chinese medicine is focused on the removing the
blockages such as toxins or tumors, and enhancing the flow of Qi and
blood. Though Acupuncture and Chinese herbs, the body’s own healing
power builds up that will improve the condition of repair and
regeneration.  In other words the whole body’s healing and immune
			system is enhanced.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs treats the body as a whole, the
increased Qi and blood nourish the complete organs, and strengthen
the heal process.  When the organ systems (Zhan and Fu) is
regenerated by the nourishment of  Qi and blood, the obstructions
such as cancer cells will be dissolved and reduced.  At the same
time, patient’s appetite, and internal stress automatically
improved.  The whole process will lead the body to re-regulate and
reconstruct to a more balanced stage.

			Our approach
			In
Houston Acupuncture and Herb Clinic we help cancer patients reduce
internal and external stress as well as enhance immune functions
through acupuncture and Chinese medicine. In adjunction our
acupuncturists also go through the diet and lifestyle habits with
patients to develop a personal supportive treatment plan.
