          Testimonial
From   M.H.      My doctor could not
believe the difference of my sperm count between the two tests.

The sperm test showed my count was low.  With
only two acupuncture and Chinese herbs treatments, even my doctor
couldn't believe my sperm count became normal.
           Thanks Dr. Wu.

          “It's
not whether you win or lose it's how you place the blame.” – Oscar
          Wilde
When the issue of infertility is raised a woman
is the first ‘usual suspect’. We use the quote in the beginning of
this article for humor only. There is no blame when a family is trying
to conceive a child, however we need to recognize that infertility is
not only related to women and problems with their bodies. Men
have up to fifty percent of the virtual “blame” as there are various
factors that involve the male partner.

What are the most common causes for male
          infertility?

            - A low sperm count (<10
million per milliliter) and low volume (1-5ml per
ejaculate) in the male. In each ejaculation that occurs while a
couple is trying to conceive, the volume and number of sperm matter.
            Other factors like

            - mobility (the ability for the
sperm to move forward the target),

            - morphology (the shape of the
sperm’s head and tail), usually 50-60% of sperm should be in normal
            shape, otherwise is abnormal.

            - Hormonal imbalance play
            significant roles.

            - Genetics and physiological disorders,

            - alcohol consumption,

            - lack of sufficient water,

            - obesity and

            - poor diet

must be addressed, corrected and maintained
during the time a couple is trying to conceive and hopefully, after,
          for health reasons alone.
When these abnormalities are not corrected with
herb therapies and dietary adjustments, this will no doubt reduce a
          couple chance of conception.
Most often a treatment called Intrauterine
Insemination (IUI) is employed by most well meaning western doctors.
This is not always the best option to consider. IUI treatments tend to
decrease the amount of good quality sperm.
What needs to be generally understood and
appreciated is that introducing your body to chemicals is not the best
way to treat any abnormality in the body. The body itself can be
kick-started if areas tend to be abnormal. Helping the body with its
natural processes is always the preferred option of many doctors
          western or eastern.
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) or Intra Cytoplasmic
Sperm Injection (ICSI) is often recommended to resolve various
abnormalities related to infertility. These procedures are usually
recommended for those who have poor sperm penetration or sperm
          antibodies.
          Why choose acupuncture and Chinese
          medicine?
Once again, we would rather help the body to help
itself and improve all natural flows and energies through the use of
effective acupuncture and herb therapy before undergoing invasive
          surgeries.
Lost of controlled scientific studies indicated
that acupuncture clinically can help male infertility and fertility
naturally and effectively.   Especially for the sperm issues.
Acupuncture and Chinese herb medicine create more
blood flow and nourishment to the male sex organs.  In Chinese
medicine the major organ closely related with male fertility is
kidney.  The Increased kidney yang Qi and kidney blood could benefit:

            - Strengthen the function of sex organs to
generate more volume and count of sperm.

            - Improve the quality of sperm.

            - Balance the hormonal abnormalities

            - Eliminate the underlying problems and maintain
            the overall health.
