Testimonial:
L. M. is working in
the Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX.
Houston Acupuncture and Herb Clinic has been
remarkable for my low back and shoulder pain. I have suffered from
sciatica and shoulder pain for many years. Now the symptoms are
completely gone!! The treatment and place are the best.
Testimonial:
From taking 2 to 3
doses of ibuprofen or alieve (naproxen sodium) a day, paired with 3
to 5 cups of coffee or 2 to 3 energy drinks
My name is Breaux P. I work as a chef and enjoy
a very active lifestyle both at work and during my free time. A
little over a year ago, I had a wreck on my mountain bike while
trail riding which left me with numbness and limited mobility in my
left hand. I did not seek treatment immediately as I assumed that
the trouble with my hand was due to the bruising and swelling that
followed the accident. After the bruising healed, I found that I
still had the numbness and diminished grip strength so I sought
relief through massage therapy with limited success. The massages
did improve my dexterity, but I found that my strength continued to
wane. My massage therapist referred me to a Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation Clinic, but their suggested course of treatment did
not focus on the cause of the problem, but rather merely working on
the symptoms and I found that to be very discouraging.
My home and work are both within 5 miles of the
clinic, but it was the combined years of experience of the doctors
and their association with the Texas Institute of Oriental Medicine
and Acupuncture that made me decided to seek my treatment with
them. I had previously researched acupuncture and chose it over my
other options because of my lack of faith in Western Medicine and
their approach to treating nerve damage (the cause of my loss of
strength) Dr. Wu suggested a course of acupuncture sessions and
herbal treatments that made an immediate difference in both my
energy level (from the sleep apnea) and the strength in my hand. I
am fortunate that I do not mind needles after having grown up taking
6 shots a week for allergies, but I have to say that most of the
acupunctures were hardly even noticeable and usually only gave the
slight sensation of pressure and nothing more, this was so pleasant
overall that I was able to take a light nap during the treatment and
would wake up very refreshed! The herbs were very easy to take with
no bad aftertaste nor digestive trouble and quickly relieved my
allergy troubles and improved my overall energy level without the
sudden return of symptoms that I have experienced with
over-the-counter medicines and prescriptions.
I now feel much more relaxed and am happier,
having gone from taking 2 to 3 doses of ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen
sodium) a day, paired with 3 to 5 cups of coffee or 2 to 3 energy
drinks, to just taking my herbs and looking forward to a refreshing
night of sleep after a hard day’s work. My hand continues to
improve and I have begun to look forward to returning to rock
climbing, a favorite pastime that I had come to fear that I would
never be able to enjoy at the same levels again!
